Starfleet Research Co-branded eBooks: Demonstrate Thought Leadership, Raise Brand Visibility and Generate Qualified Leads
Posted December 1st, 2019
Starfleet Research co-branded eBooks harness the power of specificity, deep-diving into focused topic areas, while demonstrating the best in thought leadership, research-based insights, and creative design. Starfleet Media handles all research, content development, graphic design and production work. Whereas internal, vendor-produced content assets are commonly viewed as thinly-veiled marketing collateral, the Starfleet Research brand brings an unmatched “cloak of credibility.” Co-branded eBooks enable solution providers to demonstrate thought leadership, raise brand visibility and generate qualified leads. With Starfleet Research co-branded eBooks (and infographics), the content focus and key takeaways are developed to align with the solution provider’s competitive strengths, go-to-market messages, and how the solution provider seeks to educate its target prospects.
With New Client Partners, Starfleet Media Achieves Another Milestone
Posted May 8th, 2019
With the recent addition of several new client partners, Starfleet Media has achieved another proud milestone. We now work with three-quarters of the largest (by revenue and/or investment funding) hospitality technology solution providers in the restaurant point-of-sale (POS) and management competitive arena and/or the hotel property management (PMS) and operations arena. Based on our best-estimate calculations, our marketing services now serve 8 of the 10 largest hotel management technology solution providers and 7 of the 10 largest restaurant management technology solution providers. The latest additions to our ever-growing roster are Toast, which, as reported last month in Restaurant Technology News (a Starfleet Media publication), raised $250 million in Series E funding at a whopping $2.7 billion valuation, and Heartland Payment Systems, whose parent company just announced a merger valued at $21 billion. Another Starfleet client partner to hit it out of the ballpark, as reported last month in Hotel Technology News (another Starfleet Media publication), is Infor, which secured a $1.5 billion (with a “b”!) investment. Other client partners, including TouchBistro, Duetto, Restaurant365, and INTELITY, also recently secured impressive funding rounds. Congrats to all of these hospitality technology solution providers. We’re honored to work with these outstanding companies — and would like to think that our industry-leading content marketing and lead generation programs may have played a small role in at least some of their successes.
More Solution Providers Look to Starfleet Media for Custom Lead Gen Campaigns
Posted October 28th, 2018
Content development and lead generation are our bread and butter. Usually, the two go hand-in-hand. We’re particularly well known across the core industry sectors we serve — namely, hospitality, retail and healthcare IT — for our Smart Decision Guides program. As part of the underwriting benefits, solution providers receive perpetual licensing rights to a customized version of the Smart Decision Guide (featuring their logo and company description) as well as a guaranteed number of qualified leads based on their target prospect criteria. Perhaps less well known are our co-branded eBooks, produced and promoted on behalf of leading solution providers, which also generally come with a lead generation option. Increasingly, our customers are taking advantage of this option, leveraging our SEO/SEM expertise and content distribution network to generate any number of leads on their behalf through scrubbed downloads of the content asset. This turnkey solution addresses one of the biggest marketing challenges facing any solution provider: how to create high-value content while filling the sales pipeline on an ongoing basis.
Starfleet Leads the Pack with Co-branded eBooks in the Hospitality Sector
Posted August 17th, 2018
It was a busy summer at Starfleet Media and Starfleet Research, our IT market research arm, in terms of content production and demand generation of co-branded eBooks, with more than a dozen new titles recently (or soon to be) released in partnership with some of the world’s leading technology solution providers. Hospitality IT has long been one of our industry focus areas. It’s no surprise, then, that more than half of the new eBook titles (some of the covers are shown below) explore various aspects of technology-enabled business improvement for hotels and resorts. We are proud to lead the pack of market research firms (and all others) in the production and distribution of commissioned eBooks for this dynamic industry sector. Starfleet Research brings an unmatched “cloak of credibility” in the eyes of hotel operators that invariably results in more leads and higher quality leads. And our market presence in this sector continues to grow with the success of Hotel Technology News, which is fast becoming a leading industry resource. The fact that all of the solution providers previously partnered with us on other co-branded eBooks speaks to the value of these resources for use in content marketing and lead generation activities and the overwhelming demand we continue to receive for new commissioned eBooks.
Content Marketing Assets: Bits and Atoms
Posted May 20th, 2017
The Starfleet team is heads down developing new commissioned eBooks on a range of topics, from next-generation electronic health records to advanced retail management technologies. Many of these content assets will be used for distribution at upcoming industry conferences. Solution providers will ship hard copies for use as handouts at their exhibitor booths. One such conference is HITEC, the world’s largest hospitality technology event, which takes place next month in Toronto. While we won’t be physically attending this year, our market research will have a physical presence. That’s because seven of our clients, including some of the largest solution providers in the hotels and resorts technology space, have commissioned new content assets in support of their marketing and sales activities at the conference. In this age of digital content assets, web-based content distribution and online lead generation, printed materials displayed in racks or stacked on tables in vendor exhibition halls continue to play an important role in helping companies raise brand visibility, demonstrate thought leadership and generate qualified leads. Indeed, when it comes to B2B content marketing, print is still alive and well.
